Holiday Campground is located near LaGrange, Georgia.
The campground is located on a forested peninsula and surrounded by the 25,900-acre West Point Lake.
There are 112 campsites and two group camping areas, including electric, non-electric, tent-only, and group sites. Most sites are waterfront, large, and there’s a decent amount of space between them.
We stayed at an electric site with water hook-ups, a picnic table, and a fire ring. These electric sites are $34 a night and all sites in the park can be reserved here.
Check-in time is 4 pm and check-out time is 3 pm. Quiet hours are 10 pm to 6 am. Campsite occupancy is limited to four vehicles and eight people per site.
All fires must be contained in the provided fire grills. You can collect downed firewood in the park and there was plenty to collect during our visit. Make sure every spark is out before going to bed or leaving camp.
Comfort stations with bathrooms and showers are provided throughout the campground, but are very outdated and a bit grimy so we skipped showering in them.
A dump station is available for guests and a dumpster to properly dispose of trash.
Pets are allowed as long as they are properly leashed and please pick up after them. We had cell service with AT&T and Verizon but had a bit of latency at times with both.
This is a very popular spot for boating, kayaking, and fishing. We saw plenty of watercraft on the lake everyday.
There’s not really hiking trails, but the campground is very spread out and you can walk for miles on the roads safely which we did every day.
We absolutely loved this spot so much so we extended our stay by two days. We had so much fun sitting by the campfire while watching the birds and soaking in the views.
Holiday Campground is amazing and we will be visiting again for sure!
Always follow the Leave No Trace Seven Principles and try to leave your camp nicer than you found it. Please research campgrounds before visiting. Rules and regulations may have changed since we stayed there.
