The Downstream Casino Resort is located in Quapaw, Oklahoma.
Because it sits on the border of three states the RV parking next to its casino is in Kansas while its gas station and RV park are in Missouri. I just find that interesting.
The great thing about the casino is if you sign up for a player’s card you get a free night stay.
After getting your card head to the Heckaton Gift Shop inside the casino to check in for your free night’s stay. They will ask for your player’s card, driver’s license, and RV spot number.
The gift shop closes at 8 pm, but I would assume if you checked in at the main desk where you get your player’s card they can help you with a spot too.
The cost without signing up for a new player’s card is $35 a night.
There are spots in the parking lot next to the casino by the truck parking (37.00124, -94.6249) that allow an easy walk to the casino.
You can also choose to park at the RV park which is half a mile away next to their Q-Store (37.00323, -94.61566).
We chose to park closer to the casino which had a limited number of spots. There are a lot more spots in the RV park farther away.
Each spot has electric and water hook-ups. There are no restrooms or trashcans.
Pets are allowed as long as they are kept on a leash and please pick up after them.
We had cell service with Verizon and AT&T.
A dump station and water fill-up are available for free at the RV park.
We had no luck with the slot machines but managed not to lose too much money.
Multiple restaurants can be found inside the casino. We ate dinner at the Spring River Buffet which was cheap at $20 and had a decent selection.
The food was ok, but half of it was cold. The desserts were 10 out of 10 though.
This was our first night staying at a casino and I would gladly do it again. Though we were close to the truck parking it wasn’t that loud.
There was a herd of bison next door which was fun to watch while walking the dog.
The casino is nice as well and the employees were extremely friendly. At night the hotel tower puts on a light show which was a lot of fun.
Always follow the Leave No Trace Seven Principles and try to leave your camp nicer than you found it. Please research campgrounds before visiting. Rules and regulations may have changed since we stayed there.
