This year we finally made our way to North Dakota and explored the south unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
The visitor center at the entrance to the park provides visitors with information and resources to enhance their understanding and enjoyment of the park’s natural and cultural resources.
The visitor Center offers various educational exhibits, interactive displays, and informational materials about the park. A small museum inside houses artifacts from Theodore Roosevelt’s presidency and time in the Badlands.
Theodore Roosevelt’s Maltese Cross Cabin is located just outside the center as well and is open for self-guided tours year-round.
The center provides information about recreational activities available in the park, such as hiking, camping, wildlife viewing, and scenic drives. If you like park films Refuge of the American Spirit shows in the theater during operating hours.
Park rangers and staff at the center are available to assist with trip planning and answer any questions that visitors may have.
In the gift shop, you can find books, maps, souvenirs, and other items related to Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
Restrooms, trashcans, and a water bottle filling station are all available here.
The visitor center is an excellent way to start your exploration of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. Valuable information, resources, and insights can be found here that will enhance your park experience.
The visitor center is open daily, except for Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Year’s Day.
