Visiting Kepler Cascades In Yellowstone National Park
Kepler Cascades is another stunning waterfall located in Yellowstone National Park.
In 1881 park superintendent Philetus Norris named the waterfall after 12-year-old Kepler Hoyt, who was the governor’s son.
The Kepler Cascades are situated along the Firehole River and is about two miles south of Old Faithful Village.
The waterfall drops in a series of picturesque cascades for a total distance of about 150 feet (46 meters). The longest drop is 50 feet.
The water flows over a mix of rocks, creating a beautiful and dynamic display of water movement.
There is a parking area near the Kepler Cascades, making it relatively easy for visitors to access and enjoy the sight.
A short walk from the parking area takes you to a viewpoint where you can appreciate the waterfall and the surrounding natural beauty.
Kepler Cascades offer yet another opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in the park’s natural wonders.
There’s no hiking necessary to see this wonderful waterfall so it’s perfect for the whole family to enjoy.
Do not miss this beauty while visiting Yellowstone National Park.
Once again I did not get a selfie and am totally regretting it!
