Exploring The Falls On The Idaho Falls River Walk
Idaho Falls has a beautiful River Walk along the Snake River, which provides a scenic pathway for residents and visitors to enjoy.
Covering 5 miles on both sides of the Snake River it is a joint project of the city and its residents.
The River Walk is a popular spot for walking, jogging, biking, and spending time outdoors. In addition to walking and jogging, the River Walk area offers opportunities for picnicking, fishing, and birdwatching.
The pathway offers stunning views of the Snake River, with the picturesque backdrop of Idaho Falls and the surrounding landscape.
Along the River Walk, you’ll find various parks and green spaces where you can relax, have a family outing, or simply enjoy the natural surroundings.
The River Walk Plaza features a large fountain and a venue for concerts, events, and other public gatherings.
The River Walk area is in close proximity to downtown Idaho Falls, where you can find various restaurants, cafes, and shops to explore after your walk.
We only walked a small portion of the pathway, but what we did walk was beautiful.
We mainly stopped to see the falls. The dam maintaining the Snake River diversion sends water cascading over the rocks creating pretty little falls all the way down.
We spent about fifteen minutes walking down the path enjoying the falls and letting our dog Dexter stretch his legs. This reminds me pets are allowed on the river walk.
The River Walk is an amazing area in the city and I can see why it’s so popular with its residents. If I lived in Idaho Falls I be walking it all the time.
If you’re visiting the city though it’s completely worth stopping by for a short time just to admire the falls and the incredible scenery.
