The Three Sisters At Goblin Valley State Park
The Three Sisters is the most iconic rock formation located in Goblin Valley State Park in Utah.
The Three Sisters are three prominent hoodoos that stand close to each other, resembling three figures in a group. These hoodoos have distinctive shapes and sizes, with each one having its own character.
I read somewhere that they have been named Sister Superior, Sister Act, and Sister Mary by park visitors. But these are informal names given to them by the public and I’m not sure if it’s accurate but it’s a cool idea.
You can see the formation from the road on your way to the Valley of the Goblins.
If you want a closer look there is a place to park off the road and an easy 250-yard walk will get you an up close and personal look at the rock formation.
We were there super early (before 7 am) and did not get the best pics. The Three Sisters are a very impressive rock formation in the park and worth the short walk for a closer inspection.
There is a $20 admission fee per vehicle to enter Goblin Valley State Park which is good till 10 pm the next day.
Hours of operation for the park are 6 am – 10 pm each day.
