Hiking To The Court of the Patriarchs Overlook In Zion National Park
The Court of the Patriarchs is a viewpoint located in Zion National Park, Utah.
This 0.2-mile out-and-back hike is short but steep.
It offers panoramic views of the towering sandstone peaks that are named after biblical figures: Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
The three peaks were named in 1916 by a Methodist Minister, Dr. Frederick Vining Fischer, and two local boys from Southern Utah.
From the overlook, you can also get excellent views of The Sentinel and Mount Moroni.
It’s a popular spot for photography and makes for some great selfies.
The whole stop will take fifteen minutes and is worth it in my opinion.
You must use the shuttle system provided by the park to access the trailhead for the hike.
Court of the Patriarchs is stop #4.
