Hiking The Grotto Trail In Zion National Park
The Grotto Trail in Zion National Park is a popular hiking trail that connects the Grotto Picnic Area and Zion Lodge.
Restrooms and picnic tables are provided at the picnic area if you would like to sit down and enjoy an afternoon snack.
This relatively flat hike is about 1/2 a mile long and perfect for a leisurely stroll with the family. It can be combined with the Emerald Pools and Kayenta Trails to create a much larger loop.
The trail follows the canyon floor and is a great spot for wildlife viewing. You are parallel to the main road for most of the trail.
You must use the shuttle system provided by the park to access the trailheads for the hike.
The Grotto Picnic Area is stop #6 and Zion Lodge is stop #5.
