Hiking Through The Crystal Forest In Petrified Forest National Park
The Crystal Forest Trail is an easy 0.75 mile loop trail perfect for the entire family located in the Petrified National Forest of Arizona.
During the hike, you get to travel through a dense collection of petrified wood containing beautiful quartz and amethyst crystals.
Throughout the hike, you get panoramic views of the Crystal Forest area and the surrounding Blue Mesa badland formations.
There are multiple informational boards located around the paved loop and one shade shelter.
There are some rather large logs on this trail and whole trees lying on the ground in pieces. The crystals in the petrified wood are beautiful when they sparkle in the sun.
This hike won’t take long to finish and was a favorite of ours during our visit.
