World’s Smallest Church On Route 66

While visiting Winslow, Arizona to go and stand on the corner, we discovered another quirky attraction just a block away.

While it’s not really the smallest church in the world it is the smallest church on the Mother Road, also known as Route 66.

Walking down the street you’ll see a bench with a sign above for the “World’s Smallest Church”. Turn into the courtyard and see the little church on your left.

The church was built in 2012 and is about 7 x 4.5 feet with two benches and an altar. It’s big enough to fit a family in.

The courtyard also has multiple panels explaining the history of Winslow. You can read about the first peoples, the railroad, the ranchers, and the town itself.
