Located just a few blocks away from the Worlds Largest Superman Statue in Metropolis, Illinois stands a bronze statue of actress Noel Neill as Lois Lane.
Noel Neill portrayed the fictional journalist in the 1950s TV series The Adventures of Superman. The actress is commonly referred to as the “First Lady of Metropolis”.
The statue was sculpted by Gary Ernest Smith and unveiled on Friday, June 11, 2010. The bronze statue is over six feet tall even though the actress herself is only around five feet tall.
The statue is shown wearing the attire she wore in the show and a model of the Daily Planet logo is also present.
