After two days straight of non-stop hiking in Hocking Hills State Park we decided it was time to shower and hit the town.
After visiting the Paul A. Johnson Pencil Sharpener Museum we decided to play some mini-golf at Adventure Golf At Rempel’s Grove. We both love mini-golf and I was itching to finally beat Jamey in a game.
After paying for our game and picking up our equipment at the little shed it was time to hit the course and gain some bragging rights.
Well we ended up tying on the course so the bragging rights will have to wait till next time.
The 18-hole course is well maintained and in pretty good shape. There were only a couple spots of wear on the turf, but nothing too serious.
It definitely doesn’t interfere with game play (unlike those leaves that kept blocking me)!
There are a couple water features including a pretty waterfall. Is it just me or does it seem every mini-golf course you play has a waterfall?
Other features included a hole through a cave and another hole has various rock structures through it.
Look for the various wood carvings scattered around the course. There are a number of intricate animal carvings on multiple stumps that are very cool.
Some are being held together with I think zip ties though, so they have seen better days.
The course is pretty simple and only a couple holes require a little extra thinking on your part. Overall it’s a fun little way to spend 30 minutes of your day while visiting Logan, Ohio.
Did I mention the free petting zoo located right by the entrance of the golf course?
Feel free to visit Ruby’s Petting Zoo before or after or both (like we did) to pet some pygmy goats and I believe fallow deer. They are all super adorable and for a mere quarter you can feed them some corn by hand.
Pick up ice cream or candy at Treehouse Treats & Treasures right next door.
The plaza is also home to Olde Dutch Restaurant, Hocking Hills Canoe Livery, Logan Antique Mall, Weaver’s Market and Deli, Hocking Hills Craft Mall, and the Midwest Glass Outlet.
