He has been the hide & seek champion for centuries, but now the elusive Sasquatch is larger than life and can be found right in the middle of Keystone, South Dakota.
Completed in just 8 days by a crew of wood artists from South Dakota and Kentucky, “Billie” Bigfoot measures 22.8 feet from his seated position to the top of his head.
He is made of ponderosa pine, cedar, and cottonwood and now calls Dahl’s Chainsaw Art home. His official measurements were taken during the Bigfoot Bash on December 19, 2020 when he was officially introduced to the city.
This sculpture is an exceptional piece of art and completely worth stopping by to take a look.
The detail is incredible and the photo ops are great. I think he completely looks like Harry from the Harry and the Henderson movie don’t you?
Since you’re already in the area take a 15 minute drive to Hill City, South Dakota and check out the World’s Largest Smokey Bear statue at Dahl’s Chainsaw Art. He’s pretty cool as well!
Last year I visited all three Dahl’s Chainsaw art locations in the Black Hills. I’ve already made posts on each individual location so just click on the city names below to check out those posts.
Now that’s cool!
It really was!
