This Is What Two Pounds Of Fudge Looks Like
Every tourist town you visit has it in at least one of its shops. It looks delicious every time we see it. Every time we talk ourselves out of buying it though because we’re cheap and it’s always so expensive.
What am I talking about…well fudge of course.
That delicious delicacy of sugary goodness puts a smile on your face just thinking about devouring a piece. It comes in so many different flavors and usually has a hefty price tag.
After hiking 8 miles of the rim trail at Grand Canyon National Park we wandered into the gift shop at Maswik Lodge.
After gathering a few souvenirs we headed to the register to pay when Jamey noticed the fudge.
Man did it look good, then we noticed the price. It was only $11 for a pound. That is one of the most reasonable prices we have ever seen for homemade fudge.
We decided to splurge and treat ourselves.
So…we walked out with 2 pounds of fudge!
Fudge is usually sold in places like this by the piece which equals 1/4 pound. We just couldn’t narrow down which flavors we wanted so we ended up getting 8 different pieces.
The flavors were:
Blueberry, chocolate and vanilla
Chocolate mint
Peanut Butter chocolate
Salted Caramel
Rocky Road
Oreo
Chocolate raspberry
Prickly Pear
Man oh man was it delicious. We loved every flavor and every piece was just mouthwatering and marvelous. We both agreed chocolate raspberry was our favorite with chocolate mint coming in a close second.
I think it may have been a mistake to buy the fudge, because now I know how absolutely delicious it is and will definitely be wanting more.
Is anyone else out there a big fudge fan?
Any must stop fudge place in the country I need to make a trip to?
