When Did McDonalds Start Serving Dinosaurs
So we were just driving around town running errands when we stopped at a light and I looked over and saw a dino just chillin’ on the corner!
At the McDonald’s on the corner of East Grant Road and East Tanque Verde Road in Tucson, Arizona stands a realistic, life-size statute of a Tyrannosaurus Rex. The 16 (maybe 18) foot high, 40-foot long dino is made of concrete and rebar.
The dino was placed there by former owners Michelle and Michael Retzer for their dinosaur loving son in 1994. La Reata Studios built and shipped the statue to the McDonalds location at a cost of around $55,000.
Sorry this is the only pic I got, but we were at a stop light and Jamey refused to let me jump out of the truck in traffic and take pics lol.
