Press Start Retro Arcade Fun

While visiting downtown Rapid City, South Dakota we were excited to stumble across this hidden little treasure. Press Start is a retro arcade with a bar!

Alcohol and games are always a winning combination in my opinion.

They have a lot of pinball machines and quite a few old arcade games like Joust, Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and Mortal Kombat.

There were a number of old arcade games I’d never seen before so I took some time to play a few of them.

They also had my favorite game to play, skeeball.

You can order drinks from the bar located right in the middle of the establishment and there are places for you to sit.

There were a couple of guys working while we were in. They were super nice and even refunded my money for a pinball machine that wasn’t working no questions asked.

We only spent like 30 minutes playing games, because we were doing other things that day and were on a time crunch. I could have spent hours there though.

I have this love for pinball machines even though I’m really not that good at them.

Near our old apartment in Akron, Ohio is the Quarter Up Bar Arcade which we went to a couple of times.

Same concept just a little newer looking than this place. The food and specialty drinks at Quarter Up though are spectacular.
