Al’s oasis has been a resting stop for travelers along Interstate 90 in South Dakota for years.
The building has the facade of an old western town and has room for semis and larger RV’s to park across the street. They have a restaurant serving American comfort food and a clothing store/souvenir shop located inside.
The Last Chance Saloon is a full bar that opens up daily at 5 pm. Located on one end of the building is a full size grocery store to stock up on food for your travels.
Across the street where the large rig parking area is located you will find three bison statues facing the highway. There are two smaller ones and one quite large one that is begging for you to take a pic with. There’s is also a cool etched stone welcoming you to Oacoma, South Dakota.
We didn’t eat at the restaurant, but did buy some souvenirs and stocked up on groceries. It’s a cool little stop if your in the area.
