The giant birdcage was one of my favorite “big things” in Casey, Illinois.
You can actually go inside the birdcage, take a seat and swing away to your hearts content. It’s a sweet little photo op you don’t want to miss no matter what your age. I read somewhere that it was made from scraps of old oil tanks and other leftover metal bits, but can’t confirm that little bit of information.
