On display outside Richards Farm Restaurant in Casey, Illinois sits the World’s Largest Pitchfork.
It claimed it’s title on October 20, 2015 and can be viewed for free 24/7.
It measures 61 feet and 1 inches long and is 8 feet and 5 inches wide. For a size comparison that’s about the same as the length of a bowling alley. It weighs a whopping 1,940 pounds.
The handle of the pitchfork is made of reclaimed Western Red Cedar. I read that the metal portions of the pitchfork are made out of old streetlight illuminator arms.
Rumor has it the one pound pork chop dipped in special red sauce served at the restaurant is a delicious dish. They weren’t open yet when we visited so I can’t confirm this juicy little tidbit of information.
