Meet the Newest Family Member…Everest!
So while in Ohio getting the new truck registered and doing some maintenance on Frankenstein we made another little addition to our family. I would like to introduce everyone to our new little kitten Everest.
Wasn’t planning on getting a cat. I mean I wanted a cat, but Jamey said no and that Dexter was enough traveling full-time. We had been at my parents a week when I got a text from my brother at 6:30 am with a pic. All I could see was a black spot in a box, but was like if that’s a cat I want it. Two hours later I was driving to his work and picking up a tiny 6 week old kitten.
My brother picked him up off the side of the road after he had almost ran it over on his way to work. Now my brother has never picked up some stray before and he said he had no idea why he stopped and picked up this particular kitten. I know though…fate baby…I was destined to have this little psychotic vampire cat!
Did I say psychotic? Yeah our little black ball of fur hides in dark corners of the camper stalking us waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Then razor sharp claws and fangs sharp as daggers sink into our tender flesh before he retreats back into the shadows. He also purrs really, really loud curled up on my body pillow at night lol.
It’s been a month now and he and Dexter have been best friends since day one. Well, occasionally Dexter gets annoyed after being used as a chew toy for a while, but they always seem to make up. Everest has adjusted to camp life so well it’s like we has literally born just to be a part of our lives. We even bought him a backpack so he can hike with us and go everywhere we go with Dexter. This was just meant to be.
